Within my ‘workshop in a box’ idea, I hope that I’ve crafted a concept to encourage escapism. A way to share my passion for jewellery, whilst championing female togetherness and self-care, giving permission to others to take more time to do less.
“It’s so easy to get busy, it’s takes conscious effort to slow down. I hope that my Saloukee Home boxes might just empower some handmade happiness.”
Inspiration
Saloukee Home was conceived to encourage busy women to “take more time to do less” through well designed jewellery making kits. With a passion to pass on my skills, I also wanted to draw on the knowledge I’ve gained writing my jewellery book and teaching over the years. I realised that I could bring all these things together and allow others to create their own Saloukee pieces at home. I wanted to find a way to share the calm that I’ve always found when connecting with the simple dexterity of making jewellery.

Saloukee Collections
Like many of us, in the hectic whirlwind of modern life, I often seek ways to find a certain sense of ‘hygge’ in my everyday and my jewellery collections often reveal themselves to be a reflection of this. This intriguing Danish word (pronounced hue-gah) sits at the very core of Saloukee’s being – explained a feeling or mood that comes taking genuine pleasure in making ordinary, everyday things more meaningful, beautiful or special. This sense is something I hope I am able to impart on my wearers.
