All of my Saloukee jewellery is made by hand with great care and attention. I would recommend a couple of things to give it longevity and enable you to wear it for many years to come:
1 / ALL SALOUKEE JEWELLERY
- Apply perfume, skin and hair products and leave to dry before putting on your handmade jewellery.
- Remove before showering and bathing.
- Remove during sports, swimming and sleep.
- Store safely in the box/bag it came in to reduce it coming into contact with other jewellery pieces and coming under heavy wear and tear.
2 / PAPER JEWELLERY
Please be aware that my paper jewellery is hard wearing but not invincible. Many people ask ‘what happens if it rains?’. I say, dash for cover or put up your brolly … just as you would if you wearing a silk shirt or shoes!
3 / COTTON JEWELLERY
On arrival your cotton jewellery may need a delicate tweak with your fingers to reshape it, following its journey. Should you need to, these pieces can be cleaned gently with a damp cloth.
4 / SILVER JEWELLERY
Silver naturally tarnishes over time so to give it back it’s polish, gently rub the item with a lint free cloth.
5 / GOLD PLATED JEWELLERY
As gold plating is a surface finish, it can be susceptible to wear. Care should always be taken when cleaning gold plated jewellery to protect the layer of gold from being worn away or scratched. Due to the nature of gold-plating, I would not recommend you wear this piece everyday.
5 / REPAIRS AND RECONDITIONING SERVICE
Over time, due to natural wear and tear, your items of jewellery may need to be professionally polished, repaired or re-conditioned.
I am happy to help with your reconditioning requests. Contact us for a quote.
